A look at the World Cup 2022 groups

Its nearly time for the World Cup 2022 and as a quick reminder here are the groups

Group A: Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, Netherlands

You have to fancy Netherlands here and its probably a flip of the coin for either Senegal or Ecuador to qualify

I suspect Qatar may not get a point in this group, might not even score. They do not look a good team.

Group B: England, Iran, USA, Wales

A decent group for England, the second place looks up for grabs between the other three teams

England have a few injuries at the back but the big issues will be team selection and the conditions.

Group C: Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland

I fancy Argentina to qualify as they seem to be playing well again and this is Messi’s last chance and again its very close to call between Mexico and Poland

Argentina do have Di Maria and Dybala out – that may be a blow but they should still get through.

Suspect that Saudi Arabia may not win a game

Group D: France, Australia, Denmark, Tunisia

France and Denmark for me in this group. France have a lot of big injuries but a great team full of talented players

Denmark will be too strong for the other 2 teams I suspect.

Group E: Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, Japan

Spain and Germany from this one. Even though this is not the best squads that either team has ever fielded I think they will have to much for the other teams.

One to watch is Germany’s injury list – a couple of key players may not make it.

Group F: Belgium, Canada, Morocco, Croatia

Belgium and probably Croatia for me in this group

Belgium still have an outstanding team but the time is nearly up for their golden generation. Can they do it this time.

Group G: Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, Cameroon

Brazil look good in qualifying and I suspect they will qualify easily. Up front a lot of talent.

Serbia and Switzerland looks very close to call

Group H: Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, South Korea

Portugal and Uruguay from this group for me

Portugal with or without Ronaldo have a very good team.
