Top 10 footballers cumulative transfer value

In this article we are going to look at the total cumulative transfer value of various footballers

We have named the players, the amount of players and the fee which is in pounds

Player Transfers Fees
(£ mln)
 Romelu Lukaku 5 £293.5
 Neymar 2 £246.6
 Cristiano Ronaldo 3 £204.2
 Kylian Mbappé 1 £165.7
 Eden Hazard 2 £162
 Álvaro Morata 4 £156.8
 Philippe Coutinho 3 £150.5
 Ousmane Dembélé 2 £148.5
 Antoine Griezmann 2 £131
 Ángel Di María 4 £129.5

Looking at the list we can see a couple of things

Romelu Lukaku

This player actually features on the list of most expensive football transfers – 3 times in the top 20 of all time.

Romelu Lukaku is only back on loan at Inter Milan this sesaon and maybe next – this will probably take him above 300 million when Inter buy him. Which is staggering. Chelsea bought him for 97.5 million pounds which means he is averaging just under 60 million per transfer.

The fact that Manchester United bought Lukaku for 75 million pounds from Everton and then Inter Milan paid Man Utd 74 million shows the issue here.

Man United overpaid and have recouped the money, after a successful time in Italy, Chelsea then came calling and paid a premium.

Its hard to see this value rising more.

Neymar

I’d expect maybe one more transfer for Neymar at least but it won’t be near the ridiculous amounts that PSG paid Barcelona of 198 million pounds – staggering

At the age of 30 now – maybe one more move of big value – unless PSG try to free up his wages and release him on a free.

Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappé is the obvious one – PSG tied him down with a jaw dropping contract but you would expect him to leave at some point in time.

It could be a free but i wouldn’t think he would be sold for less than 150 million pounds. Given his age – 23, plenty of time and I can see potentially at least 2 big money transfers with Real Madrid showing an interest in 2022 and don’t be surprised to see amn English team splashing out at some point as well.

The rest

I wouldn’t expect Di Maria, Coutinho or Ronaldo to add much in the way of transfer fees now – mainly due to age.

Antoine Griezmann,  Álvaro Morata and  Eden Hazard are interesting ones – in theory there could be a few more moves and sales but with a dip in form in some cases and there clubs just trying to offload them will anyone pay big money for any of them. I’m not so sure now.
